Shower Enema Hoses – For Prep

So, before I go on a long (and deep) play session, I need to be clean. Nothing turns me off more than seeing something other than cumlube come out when I’m playing with my toys. For that reason I have a very thorough and disciplined cleaning schedule before playtime. First I use an enema bag at least once (usually twice) before playing. I fill up in the shower then relocate to the toilet (ew, right?). But after the enema bag portion of prep I use a shower enema hose. This I use this to flush out the lower part of the colon immediately before play. If the enema bag worked you should see almost nothing come out during this portion of the clean-up, but it’s great piece of mind. It’s important to remember that this super detailed clean-up is only really needed because I use super long toys. If you’re playing with 4 inch dildos, a simple enema bulb will probably work.

I have tried three shower hoses so far:

The first (and best so far) is this Cleanstream Aqua Shot (https://amzn.to/3TPip4R), the one I linked to has a flow diverter (which is 100% necessary to have), if you already have one, you can buy it here with prime shipping for a few bucks less (https://amzn.to/496ruul). I have had this since 2017 and it’s still going strong. Remember to occasionally take the rubber part off the hose and clean the inside of any mold that might build up from moisture. When considering a shower enema hose, make sure you pay attention to the hose length. This one has a super long 79 inch hose which means you can use it on all fours if you want.

The second shower hose I’ve tried is this one https://amzn.to/3PxKfQk, I got this because it was on sale and I thought it would be a bit easier to insert than the first one. While that is true, if you go gentle with the first one listed, it’s not hard to use at all. This one does not have a diverter so you’d need to buy one. I was enticed by the button on the handle that’s supposed to stop the flow. Unfortunately the button is VERY difficult to press and you need to press it continuously to get the water to flow. This makes it almost useless. Luckily you do not need to use the button handle (and I don’t). Other than the button handle, this has been pretty high quality though the hose is only 59 inches (20 inches shorter than the first one). While both hoses are good, I recommend the Aqua Shot.

The final hose I’ve purchased is this one (https://amzn.to/4as1rPn), this is a super deep insertion hose. You can attach the end to an enema bag or the end of a regular metal shower hose. I don’t vouch for the safety of these but I’ve used it a dozen times and have had no issues. I don’t really see the point of this red hose unless you really need a deep clean. It certainly works but the flexibility makes it a challenge to insert the hose when lubed up.

I’d recommend keeping an eye on “Mr-S-Leather’s” webstore as well. They have a ton of cleaning options (https://www.mr-s-leather.com/ass-play/ass-prep-douche-enema-toys) and often have pretty good sales.

If you do the prep session right, you’ll enjoy the play session a lot more. I also recommend using the time to prep as a good time to edge.

About me

I’ve been using large dildos for years, I really “stepped up my game” in 2020 when I bought my first Bad Dragon toy (an XL Chance). Since then I’ve bought 175+ giant dildos from Bad Dragon, Nothosaur, John Thomas Toys, Weredog, TwinTailCreations, Naughty Fox, exotic-erotics and of course Mr. Hankey’s Toys. I don’t know why, but I really like sticking huge toys up my rear and it turns out, I’m pretty good at it. Below you’ll find my top tips for those who want to try.

1

Setting your Goals

Like I said above, I have been playing with dildos for years (since 2014) and I went as large as a Dick Rambone and BAM before finally deciding I wanted to spend the money on a Bad Dragon. People talk about only using silicone toys which I’m sure is solid advice but none of my toys prior to my first Chance XL were silicone, I never had any issues (used analy), because of the expensive nature of silicone toys like Bad Dragon, Mr. Hankey’s or any toys you find on etsy (way overpriced), I recommend using regular toys you can get from places like Amazon for a decent price until you’re ready to step up to the the 2.5 inch (or greater) diameter. At that point, I’d spend the money on premium silicone toys.

2

Don’t over do it

It’s actually not hard to work your way up to giant dildo territory, and it doesn’t take as long as you’d think, but it isn’t an instant process. You need to give your body time to stretch and adapt. Not only does this mean sizing up methodically (don’t just go from a 1.5 inch diameter toy to a 3 inch beast – it’s not going to work, you’ll hurt yourself and be turned off from toying), gradual increases and slow starts are the best practice. But I’d also recommend getting yourself a tapered toy like Mystic or Sveinn for both warm-up and training purposes. I still use both the Doc Johnson Anal Stretcher and the Doc Johnson Intimidator to start (after cleaning) every play session. These graduated toys make it a lot easier to get into the larger toys. These are PVC not silicone but I’ve been using them for years without issue (just don’t store them with other toys).

Prep – Enemas are worth it

There are two annoying things that come with giant dildo play:

One, is fasting (I won’t eat anything 12-18 hours before playing), that’s usually easy just don’t eat anything after dinner the night before.

The other is the necessity for an enema bag. Depending on what you ate and how long ago you ate, an enema will most likely be required if you want to enjoy using long toys analy (especially if you aren’t playing in the shower).

I recommend buying an enema bag for the shower and using it 1-2 times before playing. Fill it up with warm (not hot) water, and hang it on the shower curtain rod or shower door (for best results try and be on “all fours” as it lets the water work further into your colon. I don’t recommend adding anything to the water, but be sure to clean your enema tip after every use and clean the enema bag regularly.

I also use a Cleanstream Aqua Shot as a final prep to get any remnants out of the colon. If you can’t tell by now I like my playtime to be VERY clean.

If you want to make the enema portion of your prep go faster, I sometimes use ex-lax pills the night before (to help clear my bowels before using the enema).

Choosing your toys

Giant dildos are expensive – An XL toy at Bad Dragon will run you upwards of $200, and Mr. Hankey’s toys go even higher (though they are also much larger) – so it’s really important that you pick your toys wisely.

Key things to consider when buying a Bad Dragon:

  1. Size – Again, don’t overdo it
  2. Shape – Knotted toys are extremely hard to take in the XL size (I have only mastered a handful). Blunt head toys like flared Chance or Sleipnir take some practice and warmup, tapered toys are easier
  3. Cumtube – Do you enjoy “cum play” if so, I’d highly recommend waiting for a toy with a “Cumtube” to be available. If you don’t fancy this fetish, I’d buy one without a Cumtube (see below for my experience with cumtubes)
  4. Suction cup –  Most Bad Dragon toys have a suction cup option (it’s build into the toy). These suction cups are amazing and WILL stick on natural stone shower tile walls (they won’t stick if your tiles are smaller than the base though).
  5. Firmness – I recommend soft firmness or split firmness (soft shaft) for shorter toys. They are more manageable and in my opinion more enjoyable. While soft firmness would be better for all toys (IMO), the longer toys often won’t stand on their own if they are soft firmness so I recommend medium firmness, split or soft (I have really started to like soft firmness for the massive toys). I will never recommend a “Firm” firmness for any size.

Key things to consider when buying a Mr. Hankey’s:

  1. Size – Mr. Hankey’s toys are massive. There really isn’t any rhyme or reason to their “sizes”, some toys are XL max, others are XXXL but both are massive. Be sure to look at the specs before buying
  2. Color – I’ve never ordered a custom color from Mr. Hankey’s but most of their toys come with a tan, dark tan, and black color choice. Some toys come with a metallic silver, green, or purple option as well. I prefer the darker colors but it’s totally up to you
  3. Firmness – Mr. Hankey‘s default firmnesses are Med-Firm and 75% soft. 75% soft is the softer of the two (supposed to mimic a mostly erect penis). Med-Firm is firmer. I have only tried 75% soft and the 40% soft firmness, these are about the same firmness as medium and soft (respectively) from Bad Dragon. 40% soft firmness is the play with Hankey’s toys when dealing with their super large sizes. I only buy my super huge toys from them in 40% soft now (though I have dozens in 75% soft firmness and most of them still work for me).
  4. Vac-U-Hole – Mr. Hankey’s offers you the option of adding a Vac-U-Hole to their toys for a $5 upcharge. I tend to add this option but it’s not really that useful. Their large suction cup will stick to the walls but I’ve found their huge toys won’t say on the suction cup so it’s really only useful to hold it in place on a horizontal like the floor.

Buying your toys

Oddly enough, buying giant dildos isn’t so easy. Mr Hankey and Mr. S Leather usually have massive toys either in stock or available to order but…

Bad Dragon posts drops that sell out very quickly for Large and XL sizes. Bad Dragon typically drops toys Monday-Thursday at 8AM MST time and 12PM MST on Fridays (they do not observe daylight savings time so keep that in mind). While some of the drops may have thousands of toys, the majority of the toys are small and medium sizes (which are still large for regular dildo users but not for us 😈). The best part of Bad Dragon is that they sell something they call “flops” which are toys that have usually minor defects (no impact on usability), almost all of my Bad Dragon toys are “flops” because the are (currently) $116 for a Large flop and $160 for an XL flop. That’s a steep discount especially considering you don’t pay extra (normally) for add-ons like split firmness, suction cup and cum tube, a $160 flop may be $250 if it weren’t a flop!

XL Flops sell out almost immediately, best practice is to get to the site a few minutes before the drop and just keep hitting refresh. You can set your filters in advance so you’re only shown XL toys or toys with cumtubes for instance.

Both Mr. Hankey’s and Bad Dragon charge shipping fees. Mr. S Leather(NSFW) offers free shipping for all orders over $49 (which is an amazing deal).

Right now you can use the promo code: SPECIAL15 for 15% off at Mr. Hankey’s Toys or Comeback20 for 20% off.

Clean Up

I clean my toys after every use. I see posts on reddit where people say “bath day” with a bunch of their toys in a tub, so I don’t know if they don’t clean them every time but I definitely clean them EVERY time. I use antibacterial dish soap to clean them and flush the CumTubes with hot water (and then push or pull air through the tube to help it dry). These toys will get mold on them/in them if you keep them wet for too long so make sure you don’t store them when they are damp. I have a bench/ledge in my shower that I use to store the toys in between use (if not storing long-term) and to let them dry. I bought these sink protectors to elevate the bottom of the toys (most common place I’ve seen spots of mold form) and let air circulate. TLDR: Clean your toys every time and make sure they can dry

Storage

Lots of people store their toys on shelves in the open. I store mine like that some of the time since I live alone but if I’m expecting guests I store them away like most people do (in secret). The good thing with Silicone toys (at least real premium silicone toys like Mr. Hankey’s and Bad Dragon) is that you can store them all together in the same bin. They won’t interact with each other.
If you’ve bought cheaper sex toys in the past you’ve probably learned that the PVC or other plastic material often reacts with other toys and becomes sticky or even fully liquid. You don’t have to worry about that with the platinum silicone toys. I can confirm personally that Mr. Hankey and Bad Dragon toys don’t react with each other or themselves, I can’t confirm other toy makers though if they’re not lying about their silicone grade they should also store just fine in the same box.
For non-silicone toys I took to storing them clear bin liners to keep them separated from other toys. This method has worked perfectly (though to be honest I should toss most of my non-silicone toys since they aren’t big enough to satisfy anymore)

7

Extra Cleaning

If you use your toys in the shower like I do, you will probably end up with a toy that gets a small mold spot (like tiny, less than 1mm) eventually. Certain toys are more prone to mold than others (bad dragon’s legacy toys or older current toys with rougher molds for instance), I had one toy that got a mold spot that I just couldn’t get rid of with normal cleaning, it was like part of the outer layer of the toy. Finally I tried soaking it in a mixture of 15% bleach for several hours. That worked.
It took days for the mold spot to go away (after I had stopped soaking it) but it worked. My advice with this is to not wait. I had a couple toys develop spots on their bases, I waited too long on one of them to try the bleach and while the mold is dead, the silicone seems to be stained for good. Luckily it’s on the base of the toy where nobody sees and no body part touches but still. Don’t wait to breach out the bleach solution if you get a mold spot.

Questions?

I’ll add to this guide if I think of more things you should know but if you’ve got a question just drop a comment below and I’ll do my best to answer it. I started this site because I realized one day that I probably have more experience with Giant Dildos than the vast majority of people, so why not share what I’ve learned.
